Anthony Milkus
Anthony Milkus grew up in a typical suburban Wisconsin town which formed his fascination with the mundane and overlooked. Anthony Milkus is currently based in the mountains of Montana.
Anthony Milkus started making photos and learning the craft of printmaking in a musty basement, cluttered with 50 years of filmmaking and photography experiments and refuge. Trained under the loose guidance of the experimental filmmaker Standish Lawder, it was his dank basement after all, Anthony was set free to ruin rolls and rolls of film, and once in awhile something beautiful emerged under the red lights.
Anthony Milkus has exhibited his work in galleries multiple times and has been featured in print and online publications. Anthony is currently working on a longer-term project based on attachment.
My current focus is on attachment told over many years and continues to evolve and change, constantly adding and forgetting moments as the characters learn and adapt.
